Showers
Maybe you have bought a new house and decided that the bathroom is fine
but has no shower, or you don't like the bathroom and having a new suite
installed this is the ideal time to have a new shower installed. Your old
shower could just be in need of modernising so time for a change!
Spend some time shopping around to familiarise yourself with the different
shower types and keep your eye out for special offers where you could pick
up a real bargain!!
Electric Showers
Electric showers offer an economical and offer a never ending supply
of hot water for all the family.
Choose an electric shower particularly if you have a standard rather than
combination boiler for your normal domestic hot water - this will save
money as the shower only heats the water it needs.
Advantages - Economical, constant
Disadvantages - More expensive, some models prone to scaling
Bath/Shower Mixer Shower
This type of shower runs from your domestic hot water system and is
the cheaper option. The drawback with this type of shower is that it may
be difficult to control the shower temperature and if you have a
combination boiler, may require extra fittings during installation.
Advantages - Cheaper to buy/install
Disadvantages - Water temperature can be affected by other
water using items in the home
Whichever shower you choose always employ a reputable installer to fit it
for you.
